About Bekah (she/her)
Bekah Richards is a writer and artist who lives in Washington, DC. She was the DC-area winner of the 2022 Golden Triangle Haiku Competition and received an honorable mention at Bethesda Magazine’s 2021 Local Writer’s Showcase. Her writing has appeared in Ms. Fit Magazine, Where The Children Play, and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Her photography has been featured in numerous DC-area exhibits, including at the Anacostia Arts Center, Metrobar, and Union Market.
Bekah is from Snellville, Georgia, and attended Brandeis University. She earned an MA in professional writing from Carnegie Mellon University and an MA in writing from Johns Hopkins University. Her interests include running, reading, and playing with her rescue dog Polarbear.
